Lately, I've been trying to do more on Thursday to get ready for Shabbat, so that I can relax more on Friday; that is to say not be as stressed out and constantly snap at the kids to help out.
What can I say? Life's tough. Get a helmet.
Friday Pancakes ala Casa Baila
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
1 TBS. sugar
2 TBS. vegetable oil
1 TBS. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Directions:
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together, breaking up any lumps. Pour batter onto hot griddle (Liat used a Teflon pan). Flip pancakes when the edges appear cooked and the batter bubbles on top. Douse in maple syrup, if you're into that sort of thing (I'm not, but everyone else here is). Serve immediately, because if you don't, they'll get eaten anyway.
Enjoy and have a Shabbat Shalom/great weekend.
