Here's a yummy, easy, one-bowl Passover recipe

Pesach Blondies, that I got from my friend Ruthie Sharon Z, who got it from our friend Sharon Z. Ruthie.:

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup regular sugar
4 eggs
1 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 tsp baking powder
1 cup potato starch

chocolate chips, as much as you can stand (I used the whole bag)

Mix it all together, fold in the chips, bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes and VOILA!

If you make them today it won't make it to the seder--just warning you.

Okay, mine don't exactly look like these....

In Supersol. It's the light brown stuff, but it works fine.

I must correct you, Sharon Z got it from ruthie s. they are yummy! my mom made them and said the chips fall to the bottom, i don't really care where they end up as long as it is in my mouth. Have a chag kasher v' sameach.

These better live up to billing; I went back to the grocery store to buy the ingredients! :)

And I'm adding nuts...and maybe coffee.

As long as they are better than the Pesach Brownies that I marked with "Never Make Again" I'll be happy.
Don't need blondies at the Seder anyway so I won't worry about them lasting!!

Sharon Z., duly noted and corrected.

Kate, I hope they came out okay. The chips do stick to the bottom but there is something about the texture that is really yummy.

thanks for the recipe! have you ever noticed that even though pesach food sometimes gets a bad wrap, there are actually many simply delish pesach desserts out there?!

Is that spoon mix? Please let me know. If so, I may make them.

Batya, I used a hand mixer. The sugar granules here are larger in the states, I think you need the mixer to make it less grainy.

These were amazing! Thanks so much for posting - I served it after lunch on the first day, and it disappeared before my eyes. So, now I make it again for the last days!

Just came across these and they look great. We consume so many chocolate cakes on Pesach. I love that this is BLONDE! (Not that I have anything against brunettes but all that chocolate gets to be a little much...)

Just wanted to let you know that I made a few batches of this and it was great! I replaced half the oil with bananas in one batch and added some chocolate chips, and i made another version with some lemon zest and 3 grated carrots. Both these variations were great, especially the carrot version! They were devoured! thanks so much!

Has anyone tried this without the baking powder? I don't have any but would love to try the recipe.
